MBA

Mission
MBA program aims at cultivating high-level, pragmatic, comprehensive management for professional master’s degree, through which develop talents that are able to adjust to demands of socialist marketing economy and master modern management knowledge and methods and innovative entrepreneurship.

Targets
MBA program of CSU commits itself to foster comprehensive Chinese entrepreneurs and professional managers with both competence and virtue who are visionary, knowledgeable, innovative, brave, good at communications, problem-solving, and filled with business ethics and social duties in mind and capable of navigating out-ward economy and international markets at the same time.

Organizations
MBA program, highly concerned by CSU, is implemented by MBA Education Steering Committee which is comprised of directors from graduate school and Dean of Business School and by a specialized MBA Centre, providing a head teacher for each class to guarantee such implementation.

Education system
MBA students of CSU choose their education systems from full-time, part-time or optimized part-time (Part-time education system is having class on weekends.Optimized Part-time education system has class only on 4 to 5 successive days of each month). The education duration is usually 3 years, with two years taking class and the rest writing thesis. With credits system, 47 credits are required; and with flexible education system, duration can be maximized into 5 years according to the credits-acquired and thesis-defensing.

The graduate diploma and master’s degree diploma, made by the Degree Office of State Council will be awarded when credits, grades and the thesis defense are all satisfied.

Teaching methods
The teaching methods of MBA program of CSU combine theory with practice and highlighting opening mind and analyzing cases and concentrate on pragmatic operation training. All the selected faculties of MBA are experienced in instruction, while some senior management, with practical experience, of enterprise and government department is invited frequently to deliver lectures and classes. Besides theoretic developments, case analysis and team work, seminars and site-visiting, relevant enterprise research as well as consultant programs engagement are all applied. A large number of opportunities to gathering practical knowledge in enterprises or research centers are offered to MBA students, such as South Securities and Future Research Centre, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Research Center, UNITRUST Management and Consultancy and other tens of MBA practice base. Moreover, MBA can polish up their practical abilities further with the instructions of dozens of CEO and general managers from many companies of medium or big scales.

Making use of advanced teaching facilities and comprehensive advantages in management and economics, both management knowledge and inspiration of innovative mind and problem-analyzing-and-solving abilities are emphasized.
